I got introduced to Kettlebell( KB) training in 2013 at a gym in London.I got so attracted to KB especially because of KB Swing exercise. To give you some motivation I moved from 101kg to 80kg by KB training and following the right diet!

I had to take many sessions with a PT(Personal Trainer) to learn the technique. But after doing this regularly I noticed some pains in my lower back and knees hence wanted to check the technique with some other trainers too. I went to some certified KB instructors in the UK. Even after following their instructions I still did not see much improvement.

Then I recently noticed some videos and pictures of Sifu Tithira with KBs . I had a chat with him over social media and explained my situation. He asked me to send a video of mine performing KB swings. He spotted my mistakes instantly and gave me instructions to make corrections of form. After following his instructions it made a big different in terms of pains and also the general feeling of performing the exercise. I really felt the right momentum of KB swings! It is a great exercise when doing it with the right technique.

I’m so thankful to Sifu Tithira about teaching me the right technique and helping me to continue my exercise routine with KBs. He is so enthusiastic about KB training and has practical knowledge of it. I do highly recommend him for anyone looking to learn KB training.

Yesterday we were practicing about how to use grappling effectively in a street fight. Learnt some tips & tricks in grappling and it was one of an awesome days in my practicing history. Sifu Tithira and instructor Prageeth have a great knowledge and a lot of experience in JKD and several other martial arts. Once you start you can’t stop!

I started attending classes at The Shed in Ladies Self Defense, facilitated by instructors from School of JKD, once a week in January this year; and enjoyed every bit of it from day one. I still attend the same class, and have no plan on quitting any time soon. In fact, I have now upped the frequency to thrice a week. Am now at a point where I look forward to class so much, that I get very disappointed if I am unable to attend for any reason.

I’ve started feeling different now– more confident and sure of myself, more energetic, and am experiencing increased levels of strength and stamina. Mind you, the effects are not just physical –higher levels of concentration and better control over emotions are effects as well.

The instructors are very very professional, patient and always full of energy. Willing to explain concepts and moves over and over should we not understand, and that too to each person individually should the need arise. I highly recommend this facility to anyone considering joining.
